During the 2017-2018 season, The Miracle Project created an original musical called “185 Wilshire: A Love Story” that premiered at The Wallis Annenberg Center for The Performing Arts in Beverly Hills in June 2018. The entire run of the show was sold out.
The cast was comprised of individuals with and without disabilities who performed the play to five audiences, including a performance for High School students with disabilities.
Created with a cast of teens and adults with and without autism, this musical tells the universal story about how a journey to find companionship often leads us to find ourselves. 185 Wilshire boldly confronts traditional stereotypes of people on the spectrum aiming to illuminate the very universal and yet unique challenges that those with disabilities face as they search for love, learn to trust, and establish independence.
