Wallis education programs promote anti-bullying, raise awareness about autism February 9, 2016 0 0 News The Miracle Project, a performing arts nonprofit for all abilities and disabilities, is partnering with the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts to present two education programs: the Intimidation Game and the Miracle Project Live! Launched earlier this year, the collabo- ration offers fully inclusive performing arts workshops that culminate in public performances at the Wallis in May. “The Wallis is dedicated to including and celebrating people of all abilities and disabilities on our stages, in our classrooms and in our audiences,” said Director of Education Mark Slavkin in a statement. The Intimidation Game brings together 14 young adults with and without autism and other disabilities to perform an origi- nal anti-bullying musical. The program members meet every Tuesday from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the Wallis to workshop, stage and rehearse the performance. Ten students were selected to partici- pate in the first session of the Miracle Project Live! The eight-week session began January 19 and continues through March 14. A second session of the Miracle Project Live! starts March 29 and continues through May 17.
